Jamicia Davis, PhD, LCSW
In 2019, Dr. Jamicia Davis founded Endurance Counseling and Supervision Services. The term "Endurance" was inspired by a sermon. The sermon emphasized the importance of being committed to both enduring life's challenges and celebrating its victories.
Dr. Davis is passionate about providing clients with unique strategies and tools to help sustain their endurance. Her approach, which involves Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, sets her apart in the field. Dr. Davis strives to establish and maintain a healthy, positive, and professional relationship with all her clients.
Dr. Davis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Trauma Specialist with over 20 years of experience. Her passion for her work is evident in her eagerness to work with clients who are full of hope. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults, inspiring and motivating them to endure and overcome life's challenges.
Dr. Davis is a native of Auburn, New York, and her commitment to her community is a core part of her identity. She currently resides in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. Dr. Davis obtained her PhD in Social Work from Norfolk State University. She holds a master’s degree in social work from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Buffalo State College. Dr. Davis is also a member of the illustrious sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., as well as other professional organizations. Dr. Davis is noted for her work in sponsoring young girls’ clubs, volunteering at local senior citizens' homes, and participating in community outreach events. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, and these personal interests inform her of professional work.
